Joint Event: The EU-China Bilateral Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI)


The EU-China Research Centre and the Baillet Latour Chair of European Union-China Relations at the College of Europe , together with the Foreign Trade Association (FTA), European Economic and Social Committee, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCOIC) invite scholars and experts to the conference 'The EU-China Bilateral Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI)'. This will be held on 15 May 2017 at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

This international conference invites leading academics, negotiators and trade experts to examine the political, economic and legal implications of the EU-China bilateral CAI. The conference will feature FTA's Head of International Trade Policy, Dr. Pierre Gröning who will be the discussant for the economic implications of CAI, while the FTA Director General, Christian Ewert will provide the closing remarks of the day.
