On 13 October, FTA will partner with the European Services Forum (ESF) to host its event 'Services in Trade: Unlocking a Multi-Trillion Euro Economy For All and Across Sectors'.
The event will provide deep insight into the broader cross sector impact and multi-trillion euro value of trade in services to the manufacturing and primary industries as well as on labour markets within those global value chains. It will draw attention to the growing need of companies operating in these fields to focus on the services around the products they create, including the crucial and interconnected role they play in global added-value supply chains.
Ahead of the WTO Ministerial Conference in Buenos Aires in December and within the broader EU regulatory trade context, this event will serve as a platform to highlight the growing importance and relevance of Services to the EU’s Trade for All policy agenda and companies across all industry tiers.
Featuring Trade Commissioner Malmström, WTO Deputy Director General, Karl Brauner, Chief Economist of DG Trade, Lucien Cernat, along with many leading policymakers, this event will aim to ‘unlock’ the full potential of trade in services for continued growth.
