As part of its revision cycle, the amfori team has been revising the amfori BSCI system together with members, key stakeholders and business partners since March 2020.
What has changed: moving towards a due diligence approach
One commitment document: all actors in the system commit to the same values and principles through one Code of Conduct document.
Future-fit: concepts and topics that are of importance for today and the future have been added or improved in this revision. Some of the highlights are:
- Due diligence approach
- Gender-responsive principles and references
- Further alignment with the UNGPs
- Additional emphasis on living wage and fair recruitment
Between 1 April – 31 May 2021, we welcome all stakeholders to read the Code of Conduct and provide input and feedback via this form.
Feedback can be provided on two levels:
- The level of expectations met
- Areas of addition/improvement
You can focus on all sections or only on the specific sections where you have expertise.
Feedback will be analysed throughout the first half of June. Relevant changes will then be made in consultation with the amfori BSCI System Project Group.
When the Code of Conduct is finalized and launched, all actors in the amfori BSCI System will have 12 months to sign and transition in line with the requirements of the revised Code of Conduct.
The revised Code of Conduct will be supplemented by a revised System Manual and monitoring process. We will provide more information on the revision of both of these tools in the coming months.
