On October 30th, 2019, amfori will hold a webinar on the Green Button. Because this topic is primarily important for German members, this webinar will be conducted in German.
On the 9th of September 2019, Minister Gerd Müller officially started the Green Button as a meta-label for textile products. It is the first governmental label for compliance with social and environmental standards in the textile supply chain. The Green Button introduces different sets of criteria for companies, the supply chain, and the product. It is also open to companies registered outside of Germany.
By consistently implementing the criteria and guidelines of amfori BSCI and amfori BEPI, amfori members already comply with the majority of Green Button criteria.
As part of the webinar, the following topics will be presented:
- The Green Button in the German sustainability landscape
- The requirements of the Green Button with regards to company and product
- Comparison of the Green Button criteria with amfori BSCI and amfori BEPI
- Options to leverage the amfori Sustainability Systems for the Green Button
Speaker and moderator: Lorenz Berzau, amfori Network Representative Germany & Austria
