- The CIRD FTA Forum 'From a pilot free trade zone to a free trade port with Chinese characteristics' on 26 October
- The 84th International Forum on China Reform 'China’s on-going reform & opening-up and its implications for the world' on 27 - 28 October
The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up and the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Zone (FTZ). At present, China faces many internal challenges such as increasing pressure of economic slowdown and emerging issues originated from various economic and social structural contradictions. At the same time, China also faces such external challenges as significant global changes, mounting protectionism and unilateralism that the world has never experienced in the past century.
Against such special context, CIRD will host these two forums inviting leading experts and scholars from China and other countries for in-depth discussions on major and critical issues of comprehensively deepening reform under new situations and on the development of China’s FTZs. Ms Joyce Chau, Network Representative Greater China, and members of amfori will be speaking during the afternoon of 27 October at the 84th International Forum on China Reform.
CIRD is a public research institution that has made great efforts in facilitating reform policy decision-making and it is one of the most influential think tanks in China. amfori has been working with CIRD in the past few years, aiming to work with this important stakeholder together to shape an environment for open and sustainable trade.
