FTA Sustainability Conference

Following the postponement of the BSCI Annual Conference in November 2015, FTA is delighted to invite all FTA members and stakeholders to join for the newly-launched FTA Sustainability Conference 2016 on 2 June 2016. The conference will continue under the theme "The Power of Collaboration" and will take place alongside the FTA Members' Day on 1 June 2016.

The FTA Sustainability Conference will unite hundreds of large and small companies with NGOs, government representatives, academics and think tanks from all over the world to work towards finding solutions to prominent sustainability challenges in factories and farms worldwide. Collaboration is key for implementing sustainability in global supply chains. By working together, actors can use a joint leverage to tackle common challenges and accelerate improvements in their supply chains. Breakout sessions will give participants the opportunity to have in-depth talks on specific themes such as influencing your supply chain beyond the first tier, migrant workers and female empowerment. Expert speakers include Mr Jonathon Porritt - Founder of Forum for the Future, Louise Nicholls - Head of Responsible Sourcing at Marks and Spencer, Runa Khan- Founder of Friendship, among many other high-level speakers.
