India Forum: The Business Case: A Holistic Approach to Achieving Sustainable Supply Chains

On 25 October 2018, amfori will hold a joint Forum together with Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) & Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) titled ‘The Business Case: A Holistic Approach to Achieving Sustainable Supply Chains' in Churchgate, Mumbai.

Most companies recognise that sustainable supply chains are more than a nice to have, they are an imperative, critical for overall business success. While challenges to achieve sustainability across supply chains can be enormous, businesses are in a unique position to contribute to global sustainability frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to which India is committed and play a major role in the country’s growth story.

This Forum will examine:

  • The business case for incorporating sustainable supply chains into operations
  • Practical frameworks to support businesses such as standards and training
  • A holistic approach towards achieving the SDGs – the role of governments, businesses and civil society

This day brings together businesses, producers, NGOs, along with governments and international organisations to unite efforts and knowledge towards advancing sustainability in supply chains and the Global Goals.

See the agenda of the day here. We invite you to register before 19 October 2018.
Please note that the event is free of charge, and attendance is only confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email.
