Despite the ever-growing economic interdependency between the EU and China, there is an overall lack of strategic vision for cooperation. The relations between the countries are undergoing a challenging period for several reasons, including; the EU’s new trade defence regime, investment screening, the stalled investment talks, coupled with ‘promise fatigue’ and unmet market opening pledges by China.
This Roundtable debate will examine:
- The significance of EU-China trade relations for the economic growth of both parties.
- Business challenges in both the EU and China.
- The potential for stronger economic cooperation in the future.
Join us to examine how the importance of bilateral trade between EU and China could be translated into stronger cooperation and a higher level of optimism.
