BSCI, ETI and SAI Urge Bangladeshi Partners for Final Contribution to Rana Plaza Arrangement
On the 24 March 2015, one month before the second anniversary of the Rana Plaza building collapse, the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and Social Accountability International (SAI) have sent a joint statement urging Bangladeshi public and private partners to make a contribution under the Rana Plaza Arrangement in order to complete the existing funding gap and fully compensate the victims of this tragedy.

BSCI continuously monitors labour conditions in Thailand to ensure progress is made in addressing issues of slavery on fishing boats and poor working conditions for migrant workers. In the framework of these activities, BSCI met in Brussels on 5 March with a delegation from the Thai government and representatives from the Thai Tuna Industry Association and Labour Rights Promotion Network Foundation to discuss the role of the Thai authorities in enforcing labour laws and human rights.
