As part of a larger project of the German government called Quality Check: Sustainability Standards, the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the UN International Trade Center (ITC) and the ISEAL Alliance have partnered to develop a Sustainability Standards Comparison Tool.
Concretely, this tool allows a comparison between different sustainability standards with regard to their governance, impact, supporting strategies, socio-economic and environmental requirements and traceability.
As one of the leading initiatives worldwide supporting companies to build more sustainable supply chains, BSCI has provided input to the project to ensure the initiative’s work is reflected in this tool.
Initial results of this exercise are already available on different websites for professionals and experts, German consumers and German public procurement officers. A complete overview of the outcomes of this project, including BSCI’s profile and performance, will be available soon online.
