BSCI invites you to read the Summer 2014 edition of the BSCI Echo, a quarterly newsletter that updates you on our efforts to improve working conditions in global supply chains. The focus of this issue is on collaboration between business and stakeholders in protecting the rights of children. The top story therefore interviews new BSCI Stakeholder Council member Bo Viktor Nylund, Senior Advisor for CSR at UNICEF as well as Elisabeth Dahlin, Secretary General of Save the Children Sweden an organisation that is also represented on the Stakeholder Council. Both played a leading role in developing the Child Rights in Business Principles, which support companies to integrate child rights at the core of their operations. Amongst other topics, this issue also shares results of BSCI's first stakeholder meeting with Swiss financial stakeholders in light of trends in non-financial reporting obligations. BSCI's Rights and Responsibilities project is also highlighted as well as the launch of the BSCI Annual Report 2013 which gives you an overview of challenges and successes for 2013.
