The European Commission is eager to learn more about SMEs and Start-ups’ uptake of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and programmes. They have launched a survey to collect examples, best practices and information on the types of policy support that is currently available for SMEs and Start-ups. This is specifically targeted at companies willing to engage in CSR and sustainability practices across Europe. Access the survey here.
The outcome of the survey will feed a broader study that plans to outline recommendations and practical solutions to encourage CSR uptake amongst European SMEs and start-ups. The final study will also be complemented by tools for SMEs to engage further in CSR activities.
To be able to provide recommendations, the European Commission first needs to gain an accurate understanding of the current situation at an industry level.
To this effect, the Commission is eager to hear from SMEs of up to 250 employees and has reached out to amfori to further disseminate their survey among our network. Sectors of particular relevance for the Commission include:
- Agro-food industry
- Textile and garment industry
- Retail trade
The survey is available in various languages including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. You can follow this link to complete it and to find additional background information if needed.
Should you decide to fill out the survey, please update Valentina Bolognesi (Senior Policy Advisor – amfori). She is also available to assist you in discussing the survey and its aims in further detail.
