FTA Releases its Annual Report 2013 – 2014

FTA is pleased to present its Annual Report 2013 - 2014, a publication that takes stock of the association's engagement in European political discussions and negotiations to voice the interests of international commerce and advocate for free and sustainable trade.

During this period, FTA closely followed issues of particular importance such as the 9th WTO Ministerial Conference in Bali; the latest developments in EU trade negotiations, with particular attention to China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Japan and USA; and the launch of the new Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP). FTA took part as well in a case of anti-dumping duties for leather upper footwear and was very vocal against the excessively restrictive product safety package proposed by the European Commission.

The continued growth and significance of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and the development of the Business Environmental Performance Initiative (BEPI) are also highlighted in this publication.

Read about these issues and more in the FTA Annual Report 2013/2014, available in English and in French.
