Ferry den Hoed, FTA President, warmly welcomed Mr. Ewert to the association and acknowledged Mr. Eggert's outstanding work during the last years: "I am delighted to welcome Christian Ewert to the FTA. I am confident that he will build upon the remarkable success of Jan Eggert, who has shaped the FTA into an essential association for all companies that are committed to free trade and sustainable supply chains. Christian Ewert will bring his extensive knowledge and experience in business and sustainable development to lead the association to new heights". As Mr. Ewert comes on board, Europe faces a critical period, in which a liberal trade policy will be crucial for its economic recovery and for strengthening its role as a key world player, and FTA will be at the forefront of the debate, actively advocating and supporting the implementation of a strong trade agenda. "I look forward to taking up the challenge and leading FTA to ensure that the voice and interests of the commerce sector are respected. Now more than ever, it is crucial for the sector that the right policy choices facilitating international trade and promoting open markets are implemented. At the same time we need a sound framework to support our efforts for more sustainable international supply chains", says Christian Ewert. To read the full press release, please click here.
