Join our Free Special 3-Month Capacity Development Programme to Make your Procurement Practices More Gender-Inclusive

After the successful implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), WEPs Activator this year, we are delighted to offer exclusively to amfori members a new deep-dive programme focusing on making your procurement practices more gender-responsive and therefore, creating more inclusive and resilient supply chains at large. The programme will be co-organised by UN Women’s WeEmpowerAsia programme funded by the EU, amfori, and selected expert partners.

The ‘Deep Dive WEPs Activator – Gender Responsive Procurement’ Programme Overview will be implemented between February and May 2022.

Who is the Programme Aimed At?

amfori Members: max. 10-12 medium to large sized EU-based companies. Each company can nominate 1 or 2 business partners (preferably from Asia). NB: participation of business partners is encouraged, but not mandatory.

Participants from the WEPs Activator Pilot programme are welcome.

Leaders and Practitioners in supplier diversity, procurement, diversity & sustainability teams. We are looking for participants who will be owning and driving the agenda within the organisation.

What Criteria Must You Fulfil to Join?

Your organisation needs to have a commitment to Gender-Equality and have a basic understanding of how to implement gender-equality.

We encourage participants to join the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Community throughout the programme.

Participate in 10 hours of training and 10 hours preparation to prepare assessments and engage with your teams over a 3-month period (Certificates of completion will be handed out to all participants).

Participate in an aggregated Base and End line Assessment.

Programme and Timeline (to be confirmed) 

January: Programme will start with an individual and collective baseline assessment and facilitated group-discussions to understand the key needs of all participants.

February-April:

Max. of 5 Training Sessions (1.5 – 2 hours each).

Guided processes on assessment and Action Planning.

Exchange amongst cohort participants.

May: End line and Learning/Closure Session.

There will be a min. of 5 max. 2-hour training sessions spread over 12-15 weeks with an expert training team on GRP and invited peer-speakers who have implemented GRP.

All sessions will be open to the EU-based company and the selected business partners.

All sessions will be made available recorded after the training.
