In response to the questions we have received from our members around Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) and its impact on sourcing in supply chains, we have been working to keep our members up to date as the situation develops.
In addition to the recommendations, FAQs and updates that we have published on the situation, we will organise a webinar for our members on 31 March 10:00 - 11:00 (CEST). During this session we will examine how businesses can source sustainably during this global public health crisis and how best to deal with disruptions in supply chains.
You can submit questions to be answered during the webinar by using this form.
Monitoring activity
Monitoring activities in certain regions in China have been cancelled or postponed in agreement with the auditing companies and RSP holders. As per the Chinese Government’s official announcement recommendation, amfori will extend the audit validity of affected producers for three more months following the existing validity date.
More details on the suspension of auditing activities can be found in our article from February.

Preventative Safety Measures at amfori
amfori is also taking responsible preventative measures to minimise the risks among our staff, while making sure the service level to members will not be affected.
Employees will coordinate to work remotely where possible and there will be no business travel until further notice. We will be limiting meetings with external parties, whether at our premises or outside, and will rearrange for them to take place by other means when possible. This includes the upcoming amfori Board meeting on the 18 March, which will now be conducted online via video conferencing.
This measures will be reviewed in a month. We will continue to monitor the situation and take whatever measures we deem necessary in order to protect the health of staff, stakeholders and the general public.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
