Modernisation of EU trade defence: Needs of retailers and importers must be considered


The FTA has reacted to the EU Commission's final proposals to modernise the EU trade defence instruments (anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard measures) stating that it should be handled with caution. FTA is pleased to see many of its proposals in the final document and welcomes the initiative to reform the EU anti-dumping and anti-subsidy system. feels more should be done to address concerns, in particular the proposals regarding predictability and transparency which are lacking.
