The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are embedded in our association’s DNA and are a crucial element to our long-term strategy Vision 2030. On the occasion of the Global Goals Week campaign, celebrated from 16 to 23 September, FTA joined this collective movement to drive efforts on the implementation of the SDGs.
Originally piloted last year by UNDP and the United Nations Foundation, the Global Goals Week is a platform for joint action in support of the SDGs, which aims at raising awareness of the global goals and spurring progress towards their achievement.
During this week, we shared videos with our experts on how open and sustainable trade can contribute to the SDGs, and therefore help build a future that respects business, communities and the environment.
Whether it is by reducing emissions across supply chains and contributing to SDG 13 (Climate action) or ensuring workers have decent working conditions (SDG 8 – Decent Work) FTA has long championed the benefits of approaching trade and sustainability holistically to contribute to a better future for all.
