The FTA Forum on E-Commerce was held on 11 June in Brussels gathering more than 70 participants, including FTA members, along with representatives from the European institutions, companies, think tanks and consumer representatives.
The afternoon was opened by leading European e-commerce expert, Jorij Abraham, Director of Research and Advice, E-commerce Europe who presented e-commerce trends and figures from a global perspective. Participants engaged in panel debates and workshops under the theme ‘E-Commerce in a Globalised World’. These sessions explored how e-commerce is altering the retail market, the drastic changes that forced companies to re-think their traditional business model, and risks for companies that do not stay abreast of trends against competitors.
