Tariff Preferences for Products from India, Indonesia, Kenya and Ukraine: Suspensions, New Products and Re-introductions


According to the Regulation 2016/330, using the provisions accorded under Article 8 (1) of Regulation 978/2012, and with reference to 1213/2012, tariff preferences will continue to be suspended on the following products: 

  • India: Mineral products; inorganic and organic chemicals; textiles (under Chapters 50 – 60); motor vehicles.
  • Indonesia: Live animals and animal products (excl. fish); animal or vegetable oils, fats and waxes.
  • Ukraine: Animal or vegetable oils and waxes; railway and tramway vehicles and products.

 The following new products will have their tariff preferences suspended:

  • India: Pearls and precious metals; iron and steel and articles thereof; base metals and articles thereof.
  • Kenya: Live plants and floricultural products.

 The following products will have their tariff preferences re-instated:

  • India: Chemicals other than organic and inorganic chemicals; raw hides and skins and leather.

 The measures shall apply as from 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2019.
