Unleash Opportunity 2021 Re-Build! EU Trade Policy – Recording available

The third session of the Unleashed Opportunity series, EU Trade Policy: Enforcement and Improvement, took place on 13 July 2021.

It focused on the EU’s new trade policy, which promises ‘open strategic autonomy’.

The event was divided into two sessions:

·       Session 1: Enforcement of TSD chapters

This session highlighted the different commitments partner countries sign up to when entering bilateral agreements and more specifically those related to improving sustainability of trade and supply chains. We were joined by Denis Redonnet, Chief Enforcement Officer, DG TRADE, European Commission, who explained how the Commission enforces these commitments.

The recording of this session is available below.

·       Session 2: Improvements to the GSP

During the second session our panel gathering representatives from the European Commission, the civil society and trade partners discussed the revision of the current GSP.
