Anke also spoke to the need for policy intervention, including through legislation, to support the due diligence efforts that many SMEs are already undertaking today.

Jeske van Seters, Head of Programme at ECDPM and member of the amfori Stakeholder Advisory Council, spoke about the business case for sustainability due diligence including by SMEs. Looking beyond legislation, she reflected on the merits of accompanying and supporting measures.
