Welcome to amfori’s New Members!

In February 2022, the association welcomed 8 new members!

The whole amfori team wishes our new members a warm welcome and we look forward to building a strong partnership over the next few months.

We are pleased to announce that for the first time a company from Ecuador will join the association to use the amfori BSCI service. Here is what Proceconsa has to say:

“Proceconsa is family business, owned by the Holguin family. It has been operational for 35 years and it is the 2nd biggest palm hearts processor and exporter in Ecuador selling their products in 26 countries in 4 continents.

Sustainability is at the core of the company, which not only shows a strong commitment to the environment but also to its workers.

Proceconsa sources 100% cultivated palmhearts, from the Bactris Gasipaes H.B.K. variety (chontaduro, pejibae, pupunha), obtained from programmed sustainable plantations and established on agricultural farms in different tropical zones in Ecuador.

All production is free of contaminating agents, allergens, heavy metals and genetically modified organisms.”

We are excited to see our membership in Latin America expand!

The other 7 companies joining us are mostly SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprise) from France, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. These companies mostly opted for the amfori BSCI service alone:

  • Ampco Products Ltd
  • Luigi Pio Ghiselli SRL
  • b-trading GmbH
  • Reso Ltd
